Monza signed Kevin Boateng, and General Manager Galliani humorously answered questions from reporters about why he signed Boateng at Boateng’s meeting.
Galliani said: "I and Boateng are'old lovers'. We have been'in love' a long time ago. But make no mistake about it. I'm talking about the kind of love and appreciation in football. ."
"I remember his performance in Ghana in the 2010 World Cup attracted me, but when I wanted to implement the action, Genoa had just signed Boateng. I didn't think much about it, and quickly contacted Genoa President Preziosi I expressed my thoughts. Although I encountered some difficulties in the process, I finally brought him to Milan."
"Now Boateng has joined Monza, and I must feel honored for the players who gave up a lot of money to come here. You know, Boateng’s salary in Florence is very high. He joined Monza directly, under contract. For one year, we will automatically renew the contract if you upgrade."
In August 2010, Boateng joined Milan on loan, and in July of the following year, Milan bought him out for 10.5 million euros.
